Smart Tree Care approaches each job with safety in mind. At the start of a job, a hazard assessment is used to determine how best to safely carry out the work. Some of the ways in which we reduce risks include:
- Completing a pre-job hazard assessment
- Purchasing and maintaining equipment (the right tool or technique for the job)
- Climbing trees to piece them down instead of falling them
- Installing ropes in trees to ensure their fall direction
- Using ropes to lower and piece apart large branches
- Following accepted falling practices and standards
- Attending training and arboriculture workshops to improve skills
- Communicating with clients to address their concerns
- Reviewing jobs and looking for ways to improve
Our safety approach is to strive for “continuous improvement” and our goal is to complete each job safely and efficiently.
